What This Tool Measures
Frequency Tremor (F0 Modulation)
Measures cyclic variations in fundamental frequency (pitch). FTrF indicates the rate of modulation (Hz), FTrI indicates its intensity (%).
Amplitude Tremor (Loudness Modulation)
Measures cyclic variations in voice intensity (loudness). ATrF indicates the rate of modulation (Hz), ATrI indicates its intensity (%).
Clinical Relevance
- • Parkinson's disease: typically shows 4-7 Hz tremor
- • Essential tremor: often faster rate (5-8 Hz)
- • Aging voice: may show low-intensity tremor
Recording Guidelines
Best Practices
