About Spectrograms

Wideband Spectrogram (5ms window): Shows formant structure with high time resolution and lower frequency resolution. Useful for observing articulation, vowel formants, and rapid temporal changes in the signal. Formants appear as dark horizontal bands.

Narrowband Spectrogram (30ms window): Shows harmonic structure with high frequency resolution and lower time resolution. Useful for observing fundamental frequency, harmonic definition, and the balance of harmonic and aperiodic energy in the signal. Individual harmonics appear as distinct horizontal lines.
